What you confirm when you upload a photo of a person to make a pet.

The confirmation you give
The photo upload step will not continue until you tick this box. It is not pre-ticked, and there is no way past it.
This photo is of me, or of someone who has given me permission. It is not a public figure, a celebrity, or a child.
What that means in practice
- If the photo is of you, nothing else is needed. This is the ordinary case.
- If the photo is of someone else, you need their permission first, given by them, for this purpose. A photo you are allowed to have is not the same as a photo you are allowed to turn into a character.
- Public figures and celebrities are excluded regardless of permission, because personality and publicity rights sit outside a private agreement.
- Children are excluded outright. Mochi is a 16 and over product and does not process images of minors.
You never have to upload anyone
There is a full path through onboarding that uses a ready-made pet. Nothing about the product is reduced if you take it.
What happens to the photo
It is sent once, used to draw your pet, and deleted immediately afterwards. No face template is created and no recognition is performed. The detail is in the biometric and facial data statement.
If someone used your photo
Write to hi@brandnuits.com. The source photograph will already have been deleted, and the artwork generated from it can be removed.
Placeholder, pending legal review
The checkbox wording above is the real product copy and is deliberately plain. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the reviewed version must keep it readable: a consent that nobody reads is not consent, and a longer sentence here makes the position worse rather than better.
Review needs to cover how the acknowledgement is recorded and evidenced, and whether separate wording is required in Illinois, Texas and other states with likeness or biometric statutes.
