There is no build to hand you today, and we are not going to guess at a date. Leave an address and you get one message when there is one. The rest of this page is what it will ask of your Mac and what the first five minutes look like, so you can decide whether it is worth the wait.

drag mochi to applications
The DMG is signed and notarised, so macOS opens it without an argument.

sign in
One account, so mochi knows which pet is yours. It opens in your browser and hands back a session.

point it at your vault
Choose the folder your notes live in. Mochi writes markdown files into it and nothing else.

paste a key, or skip
A key from any provider gets you the tidied version. Skip it and Mochi still transcribes.

pick the ears
Small downloads in under a minute. You can change it later and nothing gets lost.

get a pet
Upload a photo, or pick a ready-made one. Four variants, pick one, name it.

Downloads are resumable and verified, and each one can be deleted on its own from settings. You can change this later. Nothing gets lost.

Updates
Mochi updates itself over a signed feed and tells you when a new version is ready. It never restarts while it is recording. Every release is on the changelog, including what broke.
