Accessibility Statement
How accessible Mochi and this site are, what is not done yet, and how to report a barrier.

What this site does
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring at every stop.
- There is a skip link to the main content as the first thing in the tab order.
- Headings run in order, landmarks are real elements, and navigation is marked up as navigation.
- Body text is Ink on Cream, which measures 15.6:1. Secondary text is Slate on Cream at 5.3:1. Both clear the AA threshold for normal text.
- Nothing on the site depends on colour alone. The recommended model tier carries a written line as well as its ring, because that ring measures 2.0:1 and would fail as the only signal.
- Motion respects the system reduce-motion setting and drops to no animation at all.
- There is also a motion switch in the footer, which overrides that setting in both directions and is remembered. The background field animates for as long as a page is open, and a setting somewhere in your operating system is not a way to stop it from the page you are on.
- Illustrations are decorative and are hidden from assistive technology.
What the app does
- Every panel is keyboard navigable and labelled for VoiceOver. This is a requirement of the build, not an addition to it.
- The pet itself is fully bypassable by keyboard, so it can never become a trap between you and your work.
- Pet animation respects reduce-motion by dropping to the idle pose with opacity changes only.
- The recording indicator is a shape and a position, not only a colour.
- Transcripts are text, selectable and copyable, never an image of text.
Known gaps
- The site has not been tested end to end with a screen reader by someone who uses one daily. Automated checks are not the same thing.
- No formal WCAG 2.2 AA conformance audit has been carried out.
- Speech recognition accuracy varies with accent and with speech differences, and the smallest model tier is the weakest at both. The larger tiers are better and are one tap away.

Placeholder, pending legal review
The European Accessibility Act requires a formal accessibility statement in a prescribed structure, including the conformance status, the evaluation method, the date of assessment, and a named enforcement procedure. This page is an honest description, not that document.
Before the EU launch: commission a WCAG 2.2 AA audit of both the site and the app, then replace this page with the statement in the required form.
